Fouling clean-up
Bird fouling clean-up in Hampshire
Pigeon and gull droppings build up on roofs, in lofts and under roof steel. We clear it safely, take it away as a registered waste carrier, and proof the spot.
Bird droppings build up under roosts on ledges, in lofts, gutters and roof steel. They are slippery, damage surfaces and can carry disease. We clear the fouling and old nests with protective kit, take it away as a registered waste carrier, and proof the area so it does not return. It starts with a free site visit.

Law and safety
Done properly, within the law
Fouling has to be disposed of properly. We are an upper tier registered waste carrier with the Environment Agency, number CBDU606377, and you get a waste transfer note. Nests are only cleared when no active nest is disturbed, because wild birds, their nests and eggs are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. We work licensed where the law requires it. Read bird control and the law.

Questions
Questions people ask
Is it safe to clean pigeon droppings myself?
A small amount outside, wetted down first and cleared with gloves and a mask, is usually fine. Large build-ups, droppings in lofts or enclosed spaces, and anything at height are better left to someone with the right kit. Dry droppings make dust when disturbed, which is the main risk.
Do you clear lofts as well as commercial sites?
Yes. We clear pigeon fouling and old nests from lofts, roofs and gutters on houses, as well as depots, warehouses and other commercial sites. On commercial sites a risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) is supplied before the first visit.
What happens to the waste?
We bag it on site and take it away as a registered waste carrier, number CBDU606377. You get a waste transfer note for your records. Then we proof the area where it makes sense, so the birds do not come back and the fouling does not build up again.
