The Waterside runs along the west side of Southampton Water, from Marchwood to Fawley, with the refinery and industrial sites on one side and the New Forest on the other. Hythe has a marina and waterfront where gulls gather. Homes here sit close to woodland, fields and water, so rats and mice move in when the weather turns cold.
Because we live and work here, Waterside jobs are the easiest for us to fit in and follow up. Typical work is mice in lofts as autumn comes, rats in gardens that back onto fields and streams, wasp nests in summer, and gulls and pigeons on roofs near the water. Industrial and marine sites get the same survey, risk assessment and method statement (RAMS) and written reports as anywhere else.
